    Ritual Kematian dalam Masyarakat Suku Alas di Desa Batu Mbulan II, Aceh Tenggara

    The Alas people in Batu Mbulan II Village, Southeast Aceh have a unique tradition related to death. This ritual has been practiced across generations and still exists today because it is believed to have a function in their lives. This study wants to know how the death ritual is practiced by the Orang Alas in Batu Mbulan II Village; what does it mean; and its function in their social life. This is a qualitative research using case studies where data is collected through interviews and observations. The data were analyzed descriptively, and showed that: 1) The death ritual practiced by the Orang Alas in Batu Mbulan II Village is part of the local interpretation of tajhiz mayit in Islam. The ritual begins with bathing the corpse in the river, mengkiran (surrounding the coffin), talkin (teaching the dead), samadiyah (sending reward, praying for the dead, blessing tombstones and white stones). 2) This ritual has a number of meanings, as a way of remembering the dead, helping him, honoring his family; and 3) having social functions such as, strengthening solidarity, cooperation.     APLIKASI PUPUK HAYATI BIOBOOST PADA BERBAGAI KONSENTRASI DAN INTERVAL WAKTU PEMBERIAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN JAGUNG MANIS

    ABSTRAKKonsentrasi dan interval pemberian pupuk hayati Bioboost merupakan faktor penting dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi dan interval pemberian pupuk hayati Bioboost terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah Konsentasi pupuk hayati Bioboost (K) terdiri atas tiga taraf yaitu K0: Kontrol; K1= 20 cc/L; K2: 40 cc/L; K3: 40 cc/L. Faktor kedua adalah interval pemberian pupuk hayati Bioboost (P) terdiri dari tiga taraf yaitu P1: 15 hari sekali; P2: 30 hari sekali; P3: 45 hari sekali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pupuk hayati Bioboost pada parameter pertumbuhan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 15 HST diameter batang umur 30 HST, berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 45 HST diameter batang 45 HST dan berpengaruh tidak nyata pada tinggi tanaman 30 HST diameter batang 15 HST. Pada fase vegetatif diperoleh konsentrasi terbaik pada perlakuan 60 cc/L air.Kata kunci:  pupuk hayati, bioboost, interval pemberian, mikroorganism

    Technical investigation on V2G, S2V, and V2I for next generation smart city planning

    The paper investigates a few of the major areas of the next generation technological advancement, “smart city planning concept”. The areas that the paper focuses are vehicle to grid (V2G), sun to vehicle (S2V), and vehicle to infrastructure (V2I). For the bi-directional crowd energy single entity concept, V2G and building to grid (B2G) are the primary parts of distributed renewable generation (DRG) under smart living. This research includes an in-depth overview of this three major areas. Next, the research conducts a case analysis of V2G, S2V, and V2I along with their possible limitations in order to find out the novel solutions for future development both for academia and industry levels. Lastly, few possible solutions have been proposed to minimize the limitations and to develop the existing system for future expansion

    This paper extends previous work in the area of supervisory style as it pertains to the use of budgetary information for performance evaluation. Previous research has focused exclusively on the superior's budgetary performance evaluation style. This study focused on both superior's perceived and the subordinate's preferred budgetary performance evaluation styles. When subordinate's preferred style disagrees with the superior's perceived style, this disagreement is hypothesized to lead to the subordinate's and superior's feeling higher job-related tension and lower job satisfaction.Eighty-nine managers and staffs from a cross-section of department in Indonesia manufacturing companies paricipated in this study. The results support the hypothesized relations. This study also examines two mediating models, (1) job-related tension that nay mediate the relationship between disagreement in budgetary performance evaluation style and performance, and (2) job satisfaction that may mediate the relationship between disagreement and performance. The result indicate that only job satisfaction mediates the relationship beween disagreement in budgetary performance evaluation style and performance. Finally, a structure equation model is used to determine the overall impact of disagreement in budgetary performance evaluation style on job-related tension, job satisfaction and performance
